Solar on top

Eight trucks operating for Grolsch are currently equipped with solar panels on their roofs. These panels continuously charge the trucks' batteries using solar energy. A major advantage is that the tractor unit no longer needs to keep its engine running during loading and unloading operations. This results in lower diesel consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions.

An additional benefit is that the batteries have a longer service life, reducing the risk of vehicle downtime. An evaluation will determine whether more solar-powered trucks can be introduced into the fleet in the future.
